Why aren't the page numbers for each feature identified so that I can print out only those pages and articles I want to read in detail?  I love the ability to "Print Articles or Print Features" but sometimes I don't want to, especially since I already know about submissions, subscriptions, etc.

In order to print an individual article, go to the article you wish to print and select "Print" not "Print Articles or Print Features".  From the Main Menu the "Print" option is grayed (not available) which leaves "Print Articles or Print Features" as your only print options, that is why you always get more of the issue printed than desired.

  25. I really like your Omni Screen Init off issue #11, however, I have had to remove it.  The problem occurs when anything is running behind it and a GS screen is updated.  The Init interferes with the program.  It also has to be reset every time the computer is booted.  Any suggestions?

  33. Omni Screen activates when there are no user events occurring (like you pressing a key).  If the program you were running keeps updating the screen, it will draw on the Omni Screen screen.

  35. Omni Screen can also be set to run all the time by clicking on it's Icon while in the finder, getting Icon Info (Open-Apple-I) and making sure the "Inactive" box does not have an "X" in it.

  43. I just received Softdisk #5 with the program WordWorks on it. I am really amazed at all the features of this program.  The only problem that I am experiencing is importing and accessing other fonts for this program.  Please let me know the procedure for this.

You need to load the fonts into your Fonts folder in your System file.  This should allow you to utilize any of the fonts you desire.  Once you are back in WordWorks, go to Font in the menu bar and select Choose Font.  You will then be allowed to select any of the available fonts plus their available sizes.  Hope this helps.  If not call our technical support line at 1-318-221-5134.

Jukebox is tremendous!  Wish I could find something useful to do with it.  Why don't you try to use ShrinkIt or something, and compress items to get more into an issue?  I'm starting my subscription soon and would love to see more great things on your issues.  You could write your own compression utility or include an unshrink/unpacker into the main SYS16 program to unpack and run on the spot.  If this seems too much, I understand, but please at least consider packing such things as fonts, DA's, templates, music songs, level sets, text(?), Clip Art, and PSGS images.  Let programs remain unpacked.  Please at least consider this because the more the merrier!

  65. Sure, we could pack a lot of items, but most users would call up, wondering why they couldn't copy things off the issue directly.  We have two precepts for creating Softdisk G-S:

  67.     Ñ to put out high quality software at reasonable prices every month
  68.     Ñ to reduce the number of technical support calls
  69.  
  70. Also, we're giving you 700-800K of software for about ten bucks.  Look at the prices of other software.  You're getting quite a deal here.  If we had enough time and resources to put out more software, we'd have two disks or something.  But Softdisk G-S is pretty neat as it is, eh, what?

  85. Sadly, Taito seems to have pulled out of the GS software business.  Thanks, Apple, for instilling such confidence in third-party developers.  Rastan is awesome, but due to Apple's lack of marketing, you probably won't get to see it unless you can find someone who bought it when it came out.
